1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the manner in which Apron, LLC ("Apron," "we," "us," or "our"), an Oregon limited liability company, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information in connection with the website located at apronjobs.com (the "Site") and with Apron operator accounts (together with the Site, the "Service").

This Policy does not govern personal information submitted by job applicants through an employer's application portal. An applicant applies to the employer identified within that portal, and that employer is the business responsible for the applicant's information. Apron processes such information solely as that employer's service provider and upon that employer's instructions, as described in the Applicant Privacy Notice presented within the portal before an application is begun.

2. Information We Collect

Site visitors. The Site sets no cookies and employs no advertising trackers. Traffic measurement is performed by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not employ cookies, does not write to device storage, and does not track users across sites; it reports only aggregate metrics, among them pages viewed, referring site, country, and browser type. The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, and where a browser requests a typeface, Google receives the technical details attendant to that request, including the requesting IP address. Cloudflare, as Apron's hosting provider, maintains server and security logs that record IP address and browser and device information.

Account registration and trials. Where account registration is available, creation of an account or commencement of a free trial requires a name, a business name, an email address, sign-in credentials, and a valid payment method. Payment information is collected and processed by Stripe, Inc. Apron does not store complete payment card numbers.

Communications. Where a person contacts Apron, Apron collects the information that person provides, including name, email address, and the contents of the communication.

3. How We Use Personal Information

Apron uses personal information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service; to create and administer accounts; to process subscriptions, billing, and payments; to deliver service communications, among them one-time sign-in codes and account notices; to respond to inquiries and furnish support; to comply with applicable law and legal process; and to protect the rights, property, and safety of Apron, its users, and others.

4. Disclosure of Personal Information

Apron discloses personal information to service providers that perform services on its behalf under contract, presently comprising Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, security, bot protection, and email routing), Stripe, Inc. (payment processing), and Anthropic, PBC (the assistant that helps an employer complete that employer's own account setup, which receives only what the employer types or confirms during setup and which never receives applicant information); to its professional advisors; to governmental authorities where required by applicable law, subpoena, or legal process; and to a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or other business transaction, subject to the terms of this Policy.

Apron does not sell personal information, and Apron does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Apron sets no cookies on the Site. Traffic measurement is performed by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not employ cookies, does not write to device storage, and does not track users across sites. Because no information is stored on the user's device, no consent mechanism is required under applicable law, and none is presented. The operator administration console employs strictly necessary cookies only, consisting of a session cookie that maintains a signed-in session. Should cookie-based analytics or comparable technologies be introduced, this Policy will be amended before their use.

5a. Bot Protection

Apron employs Cloudflare Turnstile on operator sign-up and sign-in pages, in order to secure those pages and to distinguish natural persons from automated agents. Turnstile operates in the background and requires no action by the user. It processes a limited set of technical signals from the user's device and connection, among them IP address, browser user-agent, and comparable security signals. Turnstile is not used to identify or profile any person, is not used for advertising, and plays no part in any decision concerning an account. Cloudflare describes this processing in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum and in its Privacy Policy.

6. Applicant Information

Where a person has applied for employment through an Apron-powered application portal, the employer identified within that portal is the business responsible for that person's information and is its controller for purposes of applicable privacy law. The Applicant Privacy Notice presented before an application is begun describes the categories of information collected, among them the manner in which an applicant progresses through the application, such as the time taken to answer, which is recorded in order to preserve the fairness of the assessment; the purposes of processing; the applicable retention period; and the means of exercising applicable rights.

A request concerning an application should be directed to the employer. Such a request may also be addressed to Apron at [email protected], and Apron will route it to the appropriate employer.

7. Retention

Apron retains account and related information for so long as the associated account remains active, and thereafter for so long as is necessary for legitimate business purposes, the resolution of disputes, and compliance with legal obligations, after which such information is deleted or de-identified. Applicant records are retained on the employer's behalf for a limited period and are deleted upon a fixed schedule.

8. Security

Apron employs administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, among them encryption in transit, restricted and logged access, and a sign-in process requiring both a password and a one-time code delivered by email. No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure, and Apron does not warrant absolute security.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending upon a person's state of residence, that person may have the right to know of, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of the personal information Apron maintains concerning them, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, in neither of which Apron engages. To exercise any such right, contact Apron at [email protected]. Apron will verify each request as applicable law requires and will respond within the periods that law prescribes. Apron will not discriminate against any person for exercising a privacy right.

10. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and their adult representatives, and Apron does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Site. Application portals enforce the minimum age applicable to each position.

11. Changes to This Policy

Apron may amend this Policy from time to time. A material amendment will be reflected in the posted date and version above and, where appropriate, by additional notice. Continued use of the Service after an amendment takes effect constitutes acknowledgment of the amended Policy.
